My interpretation of Skeeter is a young optimistic child who has grown up to be a clever tinkerer while living on her own. Her only memory of her family is that her father was an aviator pilot and her favorite movie being Top Gun. Her tinkering and love for films fuel her imagination as she builds her new home but never satisfy the longing for family.
